I took (or I should say survived) a weekend trip with my wife's family up to Banner Elk. This was my second trip to Elk Falls. For directions and more details check out my first visit to Elk Falls and scroll down.
This time my main purpose was to hike the trail to Jones Falls in Tennessee which begins on the old gated forest road beside the Elk Falls parking area. Before I set out on the hike I stopped by Elk Falls and snapped some more pictures. It was pretty sunny out though but here are some shots I got.
